The Prompt Critic's Checklist
Give the who, what, when and where. Copilot only knows what you tell it; which unit, which assessment, which date.
Say what you want. Source material, format, length, difficulty, and what the reader should do next.
Name the audience and how they read. Plain English and short sentences are a choice you make, not a fluke.
Supply the facts. Copilot fills every gap with something plausible; it will not say "I don't know".
Never send your worst mood. Ask for the tone you want to be known for; the email carries your name, not Copilot's.
Student work stays out of prompts. Submissions, marks and assessment content are on the never-paste list, and a prompt is a disclosure.
Copilot drafts, you decide. Proofread every draft; the last check is always human.
Keep personal and health details out of prompts. De-identify first; the message works without the name.
Total estimated time saved by today's critics: 0 minutes.
Time savings are for celebration purposes only and would not survive an audit.
